How does Rank Fanatic Track my site?

Rank Fanatic provides you with code that you will need to place on every page you want tracked. The code allows Rank Fanatic to collect information about your keywords from your website.

Where does the code go on the page?

You will need to place the code at the bottom of the page right before the <body> of your website. If you're not sure exactly how to do it, ask your webmaster for help. Anyone who has experience entering code to create a website will understand what to do.

Why are my keyword rankings important?

Half of everyone who uses search engines will click on website that appears on the first page of their results. This means that people are looking for a quick answer, and they'll never see your website if it doesn't end up on the first page of those results. This is why it's so important to target the right keywords. Keyword rankings show you how many people use the keywords you've targeted. If you're targeting keywords that no one is searching, then you have no chance of getting traffic from search engines. Your keyword rankings directly affect your website traffic, so you've got to be sure that your keywords are ranked high enough to grab plenty of visitors for your website.

Why is my Google PageRank important?

Your Google PageRank essentially tells how important your website is. Google determines importance by how many other websites link to your website. Another factor in your Google PageRank is the ranking of the websites that are actually linking to your website. More links and higher quality links will increase your Google PageRank. Google PageRank essentially provides another way for your website to appear higher in search results, which means having the right keywords isn't enough anymore. You've got to have both the right keywords and a high Google PageRank in order to get onto the first page of many search engine results.

What does my Alexa rank tell me?

Your Alexa rank tells you how many people with the Alexa toolbar installed are visiting your website. On a more complex note, it also tells you how likely other websites are to link to your site. Webmasters use your Alexa rank to determine how much a link to your website is worth to them. A higher Alexa rank means more webmasters are likely to link to your website. More links mean a higher Google PageRank, thus making your website appear higher in search engine results.
